Creating in the Capital - a visit to Shoe School

By Caroline

The Miss Maude team recently had a day trip to the Capital to attend Shoe School and sample one of the Wellington region's creative delights!

It was not only lots of fun, but it felt like the ultimate 'icing on the cake' to crafting our own wardrobes.  We all had a blast and highly recommend it - as a maker, we think you'll love it too. group of girls standing in front of a shop called shoe schoolYour Miss Maude Team (left to right) Emma, Arna, Carissa, Nic, Caroline and Georgiewomen working in a colourful workroom

Shoe School Wellington Day Trip

Lou opened Shoe School in 2015 in Dunedin and moved to Wellington in 2017. She is a wealth of knowledge and is so skilled. She can either give you the space to create or hold your hand through the process, whatever works best for you and your confidence levels.

The studio is filled with leather in all the colours of the rainbow and a wide variety of different textures as well. If you are worried about getting the right size, Lou has samples made up in all the different sizes to take the guesswork out of it.
