Inspired by traditional workwear of the early fifties, the practical and hardwearing Foreman is an unlined utilitarian jacket made to take charge.

Features a boxy cut, 2 piece sleeves, a neat square collar, 2 hip pockets and one breast pocket. Can be optionally top-stitched in contrasting thread.

Strong cottons in twill or plain weaves such as denim will show off the topstitching details the best. Corduroy, moleskin or tweed will give a softer interpretation.

The first image jacket (hanging) has been made up in a 10oz denim - washed.  The other jacket (worn) has been sewn using a 12.5oz denim

This jacket has been cut and designed for a man. The lengthened Foreman that our model with the blond hair is wearing – this is a size 38 at the shoulder graded out at the underarm/side seam to a size 42 and lengthened to a finished length of 110cm.

We have written a sewing pattern review on Foreman Jacket with lots of pictures if you would like to see it made up!

Fabric requirements approx:  2.8m @ 140cm.  See last two images for fabric requirements, sizing and notions.
