A beautiful and perfectly formed Cherry wood pin cushion from the Japanese makers some arguably the worlds best pins and needles. They have created a series of pincushions to represent the months of the year.
This Ruri-iro pin cushion represents July, a time in Japan when summer begins. Ruri-iro is the bright blue colour of lapis lazuli, and reminds you of the deep blue colour of the ocean and sky, which look more transparent in the summer sunlight.
