The cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch, while the edges are worked in rib. The Novice Cardigan Junior – Chunky Edition has a round yoke, which is shaped by working 4 sets of increases evenly distributed along the yoke.

Needles: Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge

Double Pointed Needles: 6 and 7 mm

Notions: 6 buttons (ø = 18 mm)

Gauge: 14 stitches x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 7 mm [no US equivalent] needles.
