Gabo Hat & Cowl, Ambah O'Brien Print Knitting Pattern

Gabo Hat and Cowl was inspired by a recent holiday to Gabo Island. The hat sample was knit while travelling there by boat, dolphins frolicking alongside, in a colour reminiscent of the pink granite for which the island is famous and from which its iconic lighthouse is built. Immerse yourself in your own escape from the everyday with this quick, satisfying knit. The hat comes in four sizes and the entire set knits up with just two skeins. Pick two contrasting skeins of DK for a fun set, or stick to a single colour for a matching hat and cowl.

This pattern includes instructions for both the Gabo Hat and Gabo Cowl patterns. 

Knit it up in a DK / 8ply weight yarn, - a perfect match for Along Avec Anna 8ply Merino, Heather Weir 8ply Hand Dyed Yarn, or Prosper DK Hand Dyed Yarn.

Hat - To fit head circumference: 46, (51, 56, 61) cm
Cowl - Circumference: 63.5cm, Width: 23cm

Needles:
Hat - US 6/4 mm 40cm circular + DPNs or circular needles for small circumference knitting, or size required to obtain gauge
Cowl - US 6/4 mm 50cm circular 

Notions: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, pom-pom maker (optional)

Gauge: 20 inches and 30 rows = 10 cm in Blocked twisted eyelet ribbing working in the round
