Coffee Bean is a simple top-down, seamless cardigan and would make a great first sweater for beginner knitters (or just a fun, relaxing knit for those more experienced). It uses worsted-weight yarn and features an easy 2 row striping pattern. The hardest part will be deciding on which 2 colours you want to pair together!
We imagine it will be a great match for The Woven Sumptuous Polwarth/Alpaca knitting yarn or Malabrigo Rios Superwash Merino Knitting Yarn
Yarn: Worsted Weight / 10ply
Meterage: Worsted-weight yarn 100g = 219 yds), broken out as follows:
Main Color (MC): 525 (575, 650, 700, 750) (825, 900, 975, 1025, 1100) yds)
Contrasting Color (CC): 375 (425, 475, 500, 550) (600, 650, 700, 750, 800) yds
Size: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10)
Finished Bust Measurements: 86 (95, 104, 114, 123) (131, 140, 149, 158, 165)cm
Choose a size that is approx 3-10 cm larger than your actual bust measurement. Shown in Size 2, being worn with approx 10 cm of positive ease at the bust.
Needles:
For Body: US 8/5 mm 80 cm circ, or size needed to obtain gauge.
For Sleeves: US 8/5 mm DPNs (unless using magic loop), or size used to obtain gauge.
For Neck, Hem & Button band Ribbing: US 7/4.5 mm 80 cm circ, or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge.
For Sleeve Cuffs: US 7/4.5 mm DPNs (unless using magic loop), or 1 needle size smaller than that used to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch markers (including removable markers).
