Knit holding together four strands of silk mohair 2ply yarn, this sweater knits ups relatively quickly on 7mm needles and results is classic jumper that can easily take you from day to night.
The Saturday Night Sweater is knit from the top down with a circular yoke. The neckline is shaped with short rows. The neckband is knit at the end from picked up stitches along the neckline.
The sleeves on the Saturday Night Sweater are half-length and are finished with a tight rib at the elbow, which makes the sleeve have a slightly puffed shape.
The sweater is designed to have approximately 15-20cm of ease (the finished garment to be 15-20cm larger than your bust circumference).

Yarn: 2ply/Lace
Meterage: 200 (225) 250 (275) 300 g Silk Mohair Yarn (25 g = 210 m)
Note: Four strands of yarn are held together throughout. The given yardage is the total yardage needed.
It is easiest is to knit from both ends of two balls of yarn at the same time.

Needles: Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge
Circular needles: 7 mm / 40, 60, and 80 cm circular needles, 6 mm / 40 and 80 cm circular needles, 6 mm double pointed needles (dpns) or needles to obtain gauge.
Double-pointed needles: 3.5 mm [US4] and 4 mm [US6]
Gauge: 12 sts x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette st in the round on bigger needles with four strands of silk mohair held together
