Merchant & Mills The Edie Dress and Top
The Edie can be made as a striking dress or top. The balloon sleeves are the only detail that is required to make it stand out. Less is more. The full sleeves are gathered with a tie which is threaded through a buttonhole, alternatively you can omit this buttonhole and insert elastic instead.
Suitable fabrics: lighter weight woven fabrics, linen and linen blends, poplin, hemp and hemp blends, cotton chambray, Indian hand weaves and block prints, tencel and tencel blends. The more structured the fabric the more sculptural your top will look.
Photographed: Black and white dress image: is a hemp/cotton blend. Top: lightweight Indian cotton, worn with the Eve Trousers.
Fabric requirements approx: 2m @140cm for the top and 3.8m for the dress @ 140cm Enlarge thumbnail for detailed fabric requirements
