Karen’s Ruffle Sweater is worked from the bottom up. The sleeves are worked seamless on DPNs (or on circular needles with the magic loop method) and then joined to finish knitting the yoke. The ruffle collar is worked at the end by picking up sts along the neckline.
A great match for Sesia 4ply superwash merino yarn.
You will also need one 10mm button for the back of the neck
Yarn: 4ply/Fingering
Meterage: 200 (250) 300 grams of fingering weight yarn
Size: 2-18 months (2 years) 3 years
Finished Measurements:
Length 34 (36) 38 cm.
Chest width: 27 (29) 31 cm.
Sleeve length: 22 (23) 25 cm.
Needles: Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge
2.5 mm (U.S. size 1.5) and 3 mm (U.S. size 3); 60 cm cable length for the sweater and 80 cm cable length for the collar;
2.5 and 3 mm double pointed needles (DPNs) for the sleeves (unless you are using the magic loop method)
3 mm crochet hook
Gauge: 27 sts and 40 rows = 10x10 cm
