This is the perfect knitting pattern for one skein of treasured 4ply/fingering weight yarn.  A perfect match for our beautiful hand dyed yarns. 

Knit of 4.5mm needles resulting in a shawl with wonderful drape and squish.

This simple crescent shaped shawl can be made with just 1 skein of fingering (sock weight) yarn. It alternates bands of slipped sts, garter stitch and short rows.

The crescent is asymmetrical (it's longer towards one side) and its characteristic shape is achieved by working increases over the edges.

Yarn: 4ply/Fingering 

Meterage: approx. 400m 

Finished Measurements: Approx. 200 cm from side to side and 32.5 cm from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking).

Needles: US 7 / 4.5mm circular knitting needles

Gauge: 14 stitches and 30 rows = 10 cm in Garter st

Level: intermediate
