Boiled Wool, Calamine

Snuggly, thick boiled wool - 100% pure. Boiled wool is firstly knitted then essentially boiled by churning in very hot water. This gives the wool a lovely plump textured look while still being relatively light weight for the thickness and warmth. The fabric remains stretchy for flexibility and comfort.

Boiled wool doesn't fray, so it is a great option for quick winter makes or for projects where you want to have a raw edge as a feature - such as casual coats, cardigans and vests. Our boiled wool is also a fantastic option for thick jumpers, hats, rugs and throws.

Suitable patterns include the Tobin Sweater, Top 64, The Coat and Sapporro Coat to name a few.
