Gather some graphic colours and stripe them together for this beautiful biased scarf. Choose between a standard small size scarf or a wider large wrap. The honeycombs are knit with slip stitches so you only have to work with one colour at a time. You can use as many contrast colours as you like.
Yarn: 8ply-DK weight
Meterage:
MC - 430 (686)m
CC - approximately 663 (1079)m
The small size requires approximately 133m for each CC (5 CC’s total).
Size: Small (Large)
The small size is a narrower scarf shape. The large size is a wider wrap. The length of both sizes is customizable.
Finished Measurements: 28 (41)cm wide, 274 (274)cm long. Measurements taken after blocking. Length is customizable
Needles: 4mm in 80cm length or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle
Gauge: 20 sts & 28 rows = 10cm in stockinette stitch
Pattern Notes: The gold sample features several different colour ways for the CC stripes. Mix it up and have fun creating colour combos for your honeycomb stripes.
The teal sample features 5 CC’s. Use them in this recommended order.
CC1 + CC2 striped for Honeycomb 1.
CC3 + CC4 striped for Honeycomb 2.
CC5 + CC1 striped for Honeycomb 3.
CC2 + CC3 striped for Honeycomb 4
CC4 + CC5 striped for Honeycomb 5.
Repeat the above striping sequence if you are working with 5 CC’s.
